Primary Purpose:Desired candidates will nurture second-language development to English-speaking students in aSpanish immersion environment. Immersion teachers will develop lesson plans and teach elementarygrade core content to students using English and Spanish. Strong classroom skills and managementskills as well as parent and community involvement are expected. Immersion teachers must possess native or near native Spanish skills with the ability to speak, read,and write fluently in Spanish and English. Candidates must meet District Spanish languagecompetency standards for oral and written proficiency. Ideal candidates will have the ability to shareauthentic-Spanish cultural experiences gained through personal experience
