The English Language Academy is currently accepting applications. Successful applicants will be highly motivated and dedicated educators with expertise in ESL with experience working with international and multi-lingual learners. As part of a newly established institute, successful applicants will develop curriculum and teach ESL courses within three programs: Academic Success Program, Corporate Training Program and the Community Education Program.
This position will be responsible for:
Maintain accurate and up to date academic records
Teaching hours are 20 hours per week
Administrative tasks, office hours for tutoring and class preparation is 20 hours per week
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups
Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises
Mark and provide appropriate feedback on written work
Devise, write and produce new materials, including audio and visual resources
Attend and contribute to faculty meeting
Participate in committees as needed
Priority hire for applicants with any of the following specific skills:
Taught courses and/or developed courses in Business English or other specialized English courses (Hotel and Hospitality, Finance, etc.)
Taught courses and/or developed courses online using LMS (Blackboard, Canvas or Moodle)
Taught courses and/or designed courses for developmental math or high school level math
Designed/coordinated testing and assessment for ESL programs
Experience teaching/designing curriculum online
5+ years minimum international teaching experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain professionalism with staff, faculty and students at all times.
MA in a related field (TESOL, Education, Applied Linguistics) from a western accredited institute is required
