The Verona Area School District is committed to removing predictability of success in outcomes for students. We realize that in order to make this a reality we need to change the way our central office administrators support our elementary teachers, support staff and principals to achieve the goals of our district’s equity-focused strategic plan. This involves focusing on instructional leadership, removing barriers to learning and relationships, and ensuring high expectations for every student.
We are looking for a leader to join our administrative team who is first and foremost an expert relationship-builder. We believe that authentic relationships are at the heart of successful schools. If you have a passion for equity, removing the predictability of outcomes for historically underserved children, and building systems that foster high expectations for every learner, then our Director of Elementary Education position may be for you.
The Director of Elementary Education’s primary responsibility is to serve as an effective, relevant supervisor and mentor for elementary principals and charter school directors by providing them with the leadership and support they need to move continuous improvement efforts towards the accomplishment of our Board and district goals. As a district we are committed to personalized learning and are proud to offer families with a variety of charter and choice options including Mandarin Immersion, Two-Way Spanish Immersion, direct instruction, and environmental education. Your collaboration with principals and other central office administrators will enable building principals to provide consistent and supported, strong instructional leadership and build positive school climates in which all of our students and staff can thrive.
