Full-time faculty in the Elementary and in Middle TSD and Bilingual/Bicultural programs are dedicated to fostering professional inquiry that advances the fields of second language learning and English Learners with Disabilities. Therefore, the ideal candidate for the position of Lecturer should be certified in K-6 Elementary, and 5-8 content area, a TSD endorsement, as well as Bilingual/TESOL certification. In addition to being certified in the above fields, the candidate should also be a multitalented individual with multidisciplinary and multilingual skills, a knowledge of P-12/ Bilingual/Bicultural education, experience with CAEP accreditation and edTPA. Finally, the ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in education from a nationally recognized university.
Highly desired are applicants who have documented evidence of successful curriculum development with elementary, middle, special education, as well as experience with program administration, report writing and assessment. The candidate should show evidence of experience teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students, teaching at the college/university level, working effectively in a collaborative environment, presenting and/or publishing in the areas of ESL/Bilingual/Bicultural Education, related disciplinary areas, and Special Education. Finally, candidates should be proficient in a language other than English.
