This is a full time, 12-month TESOL management position.
The ESL Program Specialist manages designated ESL programs and courses at the main campus and at college extension sites and community-based organizations. Responsibilities include language proficiency testing, aspects of enrollment management, and faculty coordination. The portfolio includes the shared responsibility for management and advising of international (F-1) student enrollment, with comprehensive off-site training as required. As a member of the ELI administrative team, s/he will also assist with special projects and grants; and manage routine and emergency communications with faculty and students. Regular evening and some Saturday program coverage is required. Local travel is also required to off-campus program sites.
A Minimum of a BA degree and 2 years of experience in education is required. Additional preferred qualifications include an MATESOL degree, program coordination experience and experience in contextualized ESL course design. Advanced Spanish proficiency is also preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
