Florida Atlantic University's Center for Global Engagement is seeking a Director, Intensive English Institute, Boca Raton, FL.

Reporting to the Executive Director of The Center for Global Engagement (CGE), the IEI Director serves as a member of the CGE leadership team and contributes to the development and implementation of the university's global strategic platform. The IEI Director is responsible for the enrollment and financial growth of the program, and for bringing the vision, creativity, and flexibility to build a globally recognized ESL program.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide strategic, logistic, and entrepreneurial direction to IEI.
Manage IEI operations including faculty and staff supervision and budget oversight.
Collaborate with graduate academic departments and the Graduate College for potential placement of GTAs assigned to IEI.
Recruit and hire IEI instructors with the appropriate credentials and experience.
Continuously assess and develop new markets, seek proposals, and proactively build relationships that foster new ESL cohorts.
Create and implement marketing and recruitment plans, including the university ESL academic track (leading to conditional admission), collaborating with the third-party pathway program provider (Navitas Global Student Success Programs), and nurturing the community ESL program.
Strengthen relationships with government sponsors who provide ESL and university funding for study in the U.S.
Ensure the financial and enrollment growth and stability of the program.
Travel domestically and internationally as required on behalf of the CGE and IEI.
In collaboration with the Graduate College, facilitate the Seminar for International Teaching Assistants (SITA).
Prepare the program for CEA accreditation.
Represent the CGE and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate work experience required.
Minimum of eighteen graduate-level credits in TESL/TEFL required.
Minimum three years of supervisory/administrative experience in a university-affiliated intensive English program required.
Minimum three years of ESL teaching experience preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; cultural sensitivity and ability to work with individuals from various cultural and linguistic background.
