The Community College of Qatar in Doha is seeking highly motivated and qualified professionals for the position of English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor, to commence mid-August 2018 for the Academic Year 2018-2019.
Provide the expertise and knowledge that support the college curriculum and programs. Deliver courses following accepted higher education standards; teach students using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning. The role of Instructional Faculty encompasses teaching and learning, academic advising, professional development and institutional and community service, with approximately 20-22 contact hours per week. Successful candidates will be joining an innovative, supportive and committed team and are expected to show these same characteristics.

Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in English / Applied Linguistics / TEFL / TESL / ELT, with PGCE or certified teaching qualification. Scanned copy of college transcripts showing degrees conferred must be submitted with CV, along with copies of all degree and other professional certificates. Degrees must meet requirements for attestation (check with Qatar Embassy in your country for details).
Minimum of two years of college level teaching experience in an academic ESL program required and/or a combination of teaching and mentoring in ESOL, plus three to ten years of related work experience. Part-time experience will be counted as half of full-time experience. Candidates should endeavour to provide experience certificates from their most recent employers. Experience in teaching at the CEFR A2 to low B2 level preferred. Experience of teaching in Arabian Gulf will be an advantage.
