ESLI, English as a Second Language International, is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time teaching position in its intensive English language program at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The target start date is May 24, 2018.
The ESLI program is focused on helping students attain both the academic English language skills and the cultural understanding they need to become successful students at American universities. ESLI offers five levels of intensive English; each level is one semester long. ESLI offers three terms per year: fall, spring, and summer.
Instructors are responsible for teaching students the full range of language skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking, and grammar. The teaching load is four classes per day, five days per week. In addition, instructors should interact with and develop a rapport with students and staff, serve as academic advisors to students, maintain office hours, assist with orientation and placement testing, and attend staff meetings and ESLI-sponsored events and activities.
Salary range is $31,000 - $32,000 per year. Salary will be adjusted based on education and experience. Benefits for full-time instructors include a stipend for health insurance and support for approved professional development activities.

Master’s degree in TESOL, or Master’s degree in related area with TESOL certificate or equivalent training
Teaching experience or teaching practicum
High level of English proficiency
Must have US citizenship, visa or other work eligibility; no visa sponsorship is available.
Three years’ experience teaching ESL or EFL in a post-secondary academic program
One or more years living or working abroad in a non-English speaking environment
