The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree and have a demonstrated ability as a successful and effective ESL/EFL teacher, will have experience working in an environment with a diverse client population and in the use of TOEFL testing process and scoring. A demonstrated ability to communicate successfully with international students and sensitivity to their needs and expectations is essential.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with staff and constituents, have a demonstrated ability to make decisions and follow through to completion, , and the ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations. The candidate will have the ability to develop curricula and oversee instruction to English Language learners and the ability to research best practices in TESOL, using that knowledge to selects texts, develop instruction, and conduct program assessment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications, the ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively, a working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques, and a working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. In addition, strong candidates will have the ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques, experience using Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to carry out a variety of professionally complex assignments without detailed instructions.
