Faculty – English Language Program Full Time Permanent Status
The English Language Program Faculty will teach Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Speaking/Listening courses at levels from beginning to advanced in an academically-focused program. The position will provide leadership in the English Language Program while supporting the College's mission and values. This position reports to the Dean for Student Learning. This is Full-Time Permanent Status track position.
The successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: • MAT-ESOL/MA-TESOL, or Master's Degree in Education or Applied Linguistics with coursework in TESOL • One (1) year of successful experience teaching English to international students in an English language program • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogy
Preferred Qualification(s): • One year full-time (or equivalent) teaching experience at a college or university • Experience assessing and placing students in an English language program • Experience in curriculum development and outcomes-based assessment • Experience with collaborative learning and using technology to support learning • Demonstrated commitment to professional development • Experience living or studying abroad and/or learning a language other than English • Demonstrated experience preparing students to integrate into colleges/universities • Demonstrated commitment to pluralism and the ability to support a diverse workplace and educational environment
