Ongoing recruitment for full-time Instructors of English Composition on annual international assignment for Fort Hays State University (FHSU) stationed at Sias International University (http://en.sias.edu.cn/) in Henan Province, China or at Shenyang Normal University (http://www.synu.edu.cn/synuen/p1.html) in Liaoning Province, China, with opportunity for annual renewal.
Each faculty position in China is an annual assignment as a non-tenure-track instructor, subject to annual review with possibility of continuation. China-based FHSU English faculty members report to the FHSU Department of English International Coordinator, Jason Harper.
Master’s degree in English, TESOL, TEFL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or MFA in Creative Writing from a regionally accredited university.
A minimum of two years teaching experience.
Applicants must possess a US Green Card or be a citizen of the US. Successful candidates also must be eligible to apply for and receive a Z visa, residence permit, and work permit in China. FHSU will assist in acquiring and paying for these documents.
FHSU is a state comprehensive regional university responsible for service to the western two-thirds of the State of Kansas. Its offerings also include a substantial domestic distance learning program and international programs. It has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students with approximately 5,000 students on campus. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of majors, including professional programs like teaching, business, and nursing.
