If you are a good ESL instructor but can't commit to full time, consider being on the on-call substitute list at ALPS Language School. On-call substitutes cover classes and tutorials when other staff are sick or on vacation. This is a great sideline for somebody who wants to teach classes occasionally and will be available for the long term. As the availability of hours is unpredictable, it is not suitable for somebody looking for steady work.
Our classes are taught Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We do not teach weekend classes. We teach adult non-immigrants for the most part.
Our website is www.EnglishInTheUSA.com if you have questions about our programs.
Send a resume and cover letter to email@example.com. Please attach references, including at least one supervisor from an English teaching position.
Cover letter requirement: As this is not a position suitable for somebody looking for steady hours or looking to transition into steady hours, please explain in your cover letter how working as a sub would fit into your schedule, the date that you would be available to begin and what hours you would be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30-5:00pm.
Qualified applicants will be contacted; please no calls.
