ESLI, English as a Second Language International, is seeking two qualified candidates for full-time, year-round teaching positions in its intensive English language programs, one at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and one at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The target start date is January 4th, 2018.
The ESLI program is focused on helping students attain both the academic English language skills and the cultural understanding they need to become successful students at American universities. ESLI offers five levels of intensive English; each level is one semester long. Students may attend three terms per year: fall, spring, and summer.
Instructors are responsible for teaching students the full range of language skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking, and grammar. The teaching load is four classes per day, five days per week, three semesters per year. In addition, instructors should interact with and develop a rapport with students and staff, serve as academic advisors to students, maintain office hours, assist with orientation and placement testing, and attend staff meetings and ESLI-sponsored events and activities.

Bachelor’s degree in TESOL or Bachelor’s degree in related area with TESOL certificate or equivalent training
Teaching experience or teaching practicum
High level of English proficiency
Must have US citizenship, visa or other work eligibility; no visa sponsorship is available.
Master’s degree in TESOL, or Master’s degree in related area with TESOL certificate or equivalent training
Three years’ experience teaching ESL or EFL in a college-level academic program
One or more years living or working abroad in a non-English speaking environment

ESLI, Inc. offers its accredited intensive English language program at six host universities around the US and one in Canada. Program growth requires additional staff at our Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota locations.
