Founded in 1953, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) is situated on an exceptionally beautiful campus in the most economically productive region of Japan: Nagoya. One of the leading business schools in Japan, NUCB consistently receives high academic rankings and is strongly committed to global standards for excellence in scholarship and research. It is also the only business school in Japan to be accredited by both AACSB International and AMBA. NUCB is comprised of just over 3,500 students and 100 teaching staff. At present 30 of the teaching staff are from abroad. With the trend of globalization, NUCB is aiming to increase its foreign teaching staff members to at least 40.
NUCB is now inviting motivated and academically inclined English language teaching scholars to join us in achieving our ambitious goals of our faculty (i.e. Faculty of Communication). We are seeking to fill two full-time positions (Assistant Professorships) for 2018 academic year (contracts will start April 1st).
Nagoya is well-known for the Toyota Motor Cooperation and is also becoming the base of Japan’s aeronautic manufacturing. These factors have combined to make Nagoya one of the most suitable cities to study business. NUCB attracts many exchange students from its affiliated 143 business schools around the world and the number is increasing both at undergraduate and graduate level each year. The living environment in Nagoya compared to Osaka and Tokyo is very pleasant and comfortable. Apartments and living expense is also very reasonable. In maintaining the standard of quality education, NUCB encourages its teaching staff members with teaching innovation and scholarly contribution in their research. Research fund and research day will be provided and they are expected to publish in peer-refereed journals, preferably those listed under the Australian Business Deans Council and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics).
