The Pathway Program was established in 2010 on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida. This program serves international students, providing academic and language support while students complete university courses. The program provides extensive support toward academic and social success of the students. One major component of academic support encompasses the test preparation for Pathway students.
The Testing Coordinator for the Pathway Program oversees the test preparation offered to INTO USF Pathway students at the graduate level. The coordinator's responsibilities will include advising students on study plans and various components of the tests, overseeing GMAT and GRE test prep classes, supervising additional teachers, assisting students with testing issues, and data collection and reporting of students' information. In addition, the Testing Coordinator will monitor students' progress, conduct workshops, and oversee all aspects of GMAT/GRE orientation testing.
The Testing Coordinator's responsibilities will include to:
Oversee the GMAT/GRE test prep area offered to INTO USF Pathway students at the graduate level. Teach group GMAT and/or GRE sessions an average of 10 hours per week. Develop test prep curriculum. Supervise and evaluate the quality of additional test prep teachers.
Advise students on testing issues. Monitor students’ progress. Collect students test score data and report student’s information as needed. Schedule all sections of test prep courses (day/time/classrooms).
Assess needs for teachers/sections/classroom space for prep classes. Order & prepare resources (books, materials, practice exams).
Oversee scheduling and implementation GMAT/GRE practice testing during orientation. Assess test prep program effectiveness. Tutor students as needed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master's degree in education or a field of study related to the academic program, or a Bachelor's degree in those same fields with a minimum of two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred qualifications include having supervisory experience; competent knowledge of GMAT and/or GRE verbal and quantitative; teaching and/or tutoring experience in a university setting; experience advising/tutoring/teaching a diverse international student population; knowledge of and experience with USF policies and procedures; Banner experience.
